Today I will deviate from literary devices and instead share some of the top books available through the crowdfunding book publisher, Inkshares. Inkshares is a traditional publishing house for books. However, how they go about the selection of which books they will publish is the difference. Inkshares allows authors to post their books on their site as DRAFT projects. This way, authors can gain readers, recommendations, reviews — basically a readership. Then, when the author feels they have enough support, they can proceed to funding their book on Inkshares. This means that the author is now making their book available for readers to pre-order their book.
Once the book has 250, or 750 pre-orders, that book will go into publishing mode with the Inkshares editorial team! The difference between the two sets of sales is at the 250 pre-orders sales level, the author will receive “light” publishing. While if the book achieves the 750 pre-orders sales level, the author will receive full publishing with in-depth editing and book promotions from their marketing team. In essence, at 750 pre-orders, the author is traditionally published.
There are some great books that are available and I wanted to share a few of them with you. So, if you’ve never heard of Inkshares, consider yourself officially introduced!
Many of the books below are in publishing mode on Inkshares. Therefore, these authors are smiling brightly as their manuscripts will be turned into actual books very soon. A few are already available. However, I chose these particular books because they are of interest to me and I just want to share them with others. [Psst! My book Fury From Hell is also in funding mode on Inkshares.]
Fae Child – Jane-Holly Meissner is also an author to watch. Her book is in production & has earned many accolades.
